Role Description The Insurance Agent role is a full-time, on-site position based in Janesville, WI. The agent will meet with prospective and existing customers to assess their needs and recommend appropriate insurance products, including farm, business, personal, health, and life policies. Daily responsibilities include generating leads, conducting consultations, preparing quotes, processing applications, and providing ongoing policy service and support. The agent will educate clients on coverage options, ensure accurate documentation, and collaborate with internal teams to address claims and policy changes. This role also involves attending community events, maintaining a sales pipeline, and meeting performance and compliance standards. Qualifications Demonstrated ability in customer service, relationship-building, and consultative sales to support diverse clients. Strong communication, negotiation, and active listening skills for explaining insurance coverage and options clearly. Solid organizational, time management, and follow-up skills to manage leads, appointments, and policy documentation. Comfort with using computers, CRM tools, and insurance systems for quotes, applications, and account management. Ability to learn and apply insurance concepts across farm, business, personal, health, and life products. High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail in all customer and compliance activities. State insurance licensing (or eligibility to obtain required licenses within a specified timeframe). Previous experience in insurance, financial services, or sales is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local client visits and community engagement.
