Adrianas is seeking a Senior Commercial Underwriter to review all commercial lines business written by the sales/agency team and ensure it complies with the underwriting guidelines established by carriers and the agency. Key Responsibilities Review all sales/business written by the sales department to ensure full compliance with underwriting guidelines established by carriers and the agency. Work directly with agents to identify discrepancies in submissions and guide them through resolution. Ensure all policies are properly documented, reviewed, and bound in accordance with carrier and agency requirements. Hold and actively monitor all high-risk accounts until fully bound, paid in full, and all outstanding suspenses are resolved. Attend all required trainings to maintain and advance underwriting knowledge. Coordinate with the accounting department to confirm policies are paid and financially complete. Develop and deliver training materials to support agent and staff education. Partner with management on initiatives to enhance and streamline underwriting processes. Review other lines of business as assigned by management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 3+ years of progressive commercial lines underwriting experience, with demonstrated expertise across multiple lines of business. Strong working knowledge of carrier and agency underwriting compliance requirements, with high attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Direct underwriting experience in two or more of the following strongly preferred: transportation, workers' compensation, general liability, bonds, special events, or commercial property. Proven track record underwriting complex, multi-line, or specialty commercial accounts. Strong analytical, risk assessment, and decision-making skills, with sound judgment under underwriting authority. Excellent negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build and manage broker and agent relationships. Proficiency with underwriting and rating systems, policy administration systems, and Microsoft Office. Active property & casualty insurance license(s) as required by state, or ability to obtain within a defined period. Professional designations such as CPCU, AU, CIC, ARM, or AFSB preferred. Ability to travel occasionally for broker, client, and industry visits.

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
