College Farmers Market Coordinator and Market Support
EVERY SATURDAY AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED
Part-Time | $22/hour | Biweekly Pay Heritage Farmers Market is seeking a dependable, organized, and community-minded team member to coordinate our college farmers markets and support our broader market operations. This is a multi-site, part-time position that combines weekday college farmers market coordination with required Saturday support at our Rancho Cucamonga market. The role also includes occasional support for pop-ups, special events, vacation coverage, and other Heritage market needs. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys community-based work, can work independently, and is comfortable with responsibilities that may shift seasonally. Primary Responsibilities College Farmers Markets Serve as the on-site Heritage Farmers Market representative at assigned college markets Coordinate market setup and breakdown Check in vendors and assist with vendor placement Monitor the market and respond to basic vendor, student, or customer needs Maintain a welcoming, organized, and professional market environment Run simple student-engagement activities such as scavenger hunts, wellness challenges, giveaways, and other Heritage-approved activations Encourage student participation and interaction with vendors Track basic participation, attendance, or activity information when required Report operational concerns, incidents, or vendor issues to the Operations Director Saturday Market Support
  • Rancho Cucamonga Work every Saturday at Heritage Farmers Market in Rancho Cucamonga Assist with market setup and breakdown Help move canopies, tables, signage, equipment, and market supplies Support the Market Manager and operations team throughout the market day Assist vendors and customers as needed Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe market environment Assist with opening and closing procedures Additional Heritage Support Depending on seasonal needs and availability of work, this position may also be offered opportunities to assist with: Pop-up markets Special events Vacation or call-out coverage Relief support at other Heritage markets Occasional administrative or project-based support Other market operations duties Hours outside of the regular schedule are based on business needs and are not guaranteed.
Required Availability Applicants must be available for the following recurring schedule: Every Saturday
  • Rancho Cucamonga Farmers Market 1st & 3rd Tuesdays
  • Moreno Valley College 2nd & 4th Tuesdays
  • Norco College 1st & 3rd Thursdays
  • Chaffey College College farmers markets operate during the fall and spring semesters and typically pause during June and July .
During college breaks, Saturday market work continues, and additional Heritage support opportunities may be available. Please apply only if you can consistently commit to the Saturday schedule and the assigned weekday college markets. Qualifications Must be available for the full recurring schedule listed above. Reliable transportation required Strong attendance and punctuality Comfortable working independently at smaller markets Professional and friendly communication skills Comfortable interacting with vendors, students, customers, and college staff Organized and able to follow established procedures Able to take initiative and communicate issues promptly Comfortable with a role where responsibilities may shift seasonally Able to stand, walk, lift, and assist with physical setup and breakdown Prior experience in farmers markets, events, hospitality, retail, community programs, or customer service is helpful but not required What We're Looking For Experience is not required. We will train the right person. However reliability, maturity and professionalism is extremely important in this position. We're looking for someone who is a self-starter, flexible, adaptable, takes initiative, shows up consistently, communicates well, takes ownership of their responsibilities, is comfortable working independently, and is willing to support different areas of Heritage Farmers Market operations as needed. This position offers an opportunity to become familiar with multiple aspects of market operations and grow within the Heritage team over time.
