In this role, you'll review applications, interpret loss histories, and collaborate with agents and risk specialists to structure property, casualty, and specialty insurance programs. You'll apply underwriting guidelines, help refine risk-selection strategies, and support portfolio profitability while delivering responsive, customer-focused service in a collaborative, development-oriented culture. Responsibilities Evaluate and underwrite commercial insurance submissions using established guidelines. Analyze financial statements, loss histories, and risk profiles to determine pricing and coverage. Recommend, structure, and negotiate property, casualty, and specialty insurance programs. Collaborate with agents, brokers, and internal teams to deliver tailored risk solutions. Monitor portfolio performance and profitability, adjusting underwriting strategies as needed. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and risk appetite. Use underwriting software, rating tools, and data reports to support decisions. Contribute to process improvements and best practices in commercial underwriting. Provide responsive service and clear communication to distribution partners and clients. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current on market and product trends.
