Qualifications Education Minimum high school diploma Experience Two years prior experience as a workers compensation underwriter, or Successfully complete the

Underwriting Operations Basic Development Program and have a minimum of one year experience Proficiency in MS Office and various

systems Excellent communication skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to travel periodically (less than 10% of time) and must possess a valid driver s license Responsibilities Ownership of an assigned book of new and/or renewal workers compensation policies that contribute to

profit and production goals Applies sound judgement in determining an insurance risk s acceptability through evaluating applications, reports, third party information and producer requests Adheres to Company underwriting standards, rules and guidelines Adheres to various regulatory rules and guidelines Negotiates pricing and coverage details within the designated level of authority Develops effective working relationships with producers Works as an effective team member with FSPs, TSMs and other underwriting colleagues Collaborates with other departments, including claims, safety, premium audit, sales and marketing to achieve
