An Insurance Underwriter evaluates and measures risk and advises businesses in insurance, banking and securities. Recommends customers to be approved for insurance coverage, and develops policies and premium levels. Reviews loan applications, evaluates credit-worthiness of loan applicants and analyzes the investment risk of a loan for the bank. Evaluates risk in different types of securities and advises clients on investments that will yield highest profits.

Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage a pipeline of new / renewal business accounts
- Collect and obtain all necessary and required documents
- Complete all account and client forms required for carrier submission
- Submit accounts to carriers to obtain quotes
- Document all correspondence and key details within CRM and Agency Management applications
- Keep track of, and follow-up on, all pending quotes
- Respond to underwriting inquiries and requests for additional details
- As quotes are received, proactively review accounts to identify items that should be
- Strategically assess quotes received to recommend / determine the ideal carrier selection
- Prepare customer proposals
- Send out finalized documents for customer signatures
- Partner with account servicing team to assure accounts are entered into our System
- General miscellaneous tasks as required by management
Requirements:
- Knowledge of program underwriting
- Commercial Lines experience
- Communicate effectively with brokers, underwriters, customers, and sales representatives
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft O365 (i.e., outlook, word, excel, etc.)
- Flexibility to adapt to organizational needs as required

Monday- Friday | 8:30 AM
- 5:00 PM The pay is up to $75K based on experience
