An Insurance Underwriter evaluates and measures risk and advises businesses in insurance, banking and securities. Recommends customers to be approved for insurance coverage, and develops policies and premium levels. Reviews loan applications, evaluates credit-worthiness of loan applicants and analyzes the investment risk of a loan for the bank. Evaluates risk in different types of securities and advises clients on investments that will yield highest profits.

About :
Establish a new target market operation as the head underwriter and producer for Latin American business. Develop relationships with customers, producers, agents, and reinsurers. Underwrite small to middle market standard contract surety accounts for general contractors and similar. Review complex submissions, profitable premiums, account losses, and pricing models. Assess contract bond applications to evaluate, classify, and rate each risk to determine acceptability and rating. Analyze applicant's financial statements, collateral, and related due diligence.
