Reviews loan applications, evaluates credit-worthiness of loan applicants and analyzes the investment risk of a loan for the bank. Your role will include:

Experience underwriting complex construction casualty risks, including or adjacent to loss‑sensitive programs Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills, particularly when evaluating loss history and risk characteristics Financial acumen and sound underwriting judgment A customer‑first mindset with a collaborative, relationship‑driven approach Ownership mentality with consistent follow‑through Adaptability in a dynamic, evolving marketplace A desire to learn and grow within Middle & Large Business underwriting Qualifications 3+ years of construction casualty underwriting experience preferred Prior commercial construction carrier underwriting experience required Proven success building internal and external partnerships Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Strong organizational, analytical, and decision‑making abilities High‑energy, entrepreneurial mindset with resilienceTravel:

Work Arrangement This role offers a Hybrid work arrangement: Candidates are expected to work at our Hartford office Tuesday through Thursday if they are not in-market. Compensation The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is: $98,800- $184,800 The posted salary range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
