An Insurance Underwriter evaluates and measures risk and advises businesses in insurance, banking and securities. Recommends customers to be approved for insurance coverage, and develops policies and premium levels. Reviews loan applications, evaluates credit-worthiness of loan applicants and analyzes the investment risk of a loan for the bank. Evaluates risk in different types of securities and advises clients on investments that will yield highest profits.

Job Duties:
Underwriting responsibility for the South-Central Region Build a well-balanced and profitable portfolio of Private and Not-for-Profit Financial Lines products Oversee the Underwriting, rating, and servicing of new and renewal submissions Ensure that underwriting files are of consistent quality and cover all relevant issues Facilitate marketing / client plan for the region Meet regularly with assigned Financial Lines brokers; Identify and establish new relationships with FL brokers; Success to be measured by submission/quote/bind metrics compared to prior periods of the team Develop a working knowledge of other Starr products to facilitate cross sale of those products where applicable
Requirements:
