Activities may include:
Analyzing borrower financial information, repayment capacity, collateral strength, and overall creditworthiness Reviewing and validating appraisal reports for accuracy and adherence to established guidelines Determining risk levels and approval recommendations Applying underwriting standards consistently, identifying and mitigating potential risks, maintaining strong documentation practices, and partnering with lending, operations, and risk teams to support timely and high-quality credit decisions Career Specialization Definition The Loan Underwriting area activities may include: Evaluates and approves or denies loan applications according to business unit standards in a timely manner. Gathers information as necessary to make sound decisions. Responds to internal and external customer inquiries as necessary. Performs other duties as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the department and business unit. Other duties as assigned. Career Level Definition Requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education.Responsibilities typically include:
Working under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations. Training, delegating and reviewing the work of lower level employees. Problems are typically difficult and non-routine but not complex.
