The Associate Portfolio Manager supports the Portfolio Management team in overseeing the Commercial Banking portfolio. This role focuses on maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, covenant compliance, and assisting in the execution of the loan closing process and portfolio strategies.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate with Relationship Officers, Credit Analysts, and other internal teams to ensure timely processing of financial requests and documentation. Prepare letters and memos related to client loan related issues by determining course of action execution based on bank guidelines. Respond to all correspondence and daily e-mails on a timely basis to ensure responses are handled to the benefit of the customer and bank under standard practices and procedures. Oversee the exchange information from clients with loan officers routinely to manage closings and day to day activity within the allowed targets. Review approved CAM to determine the required documentation and prepare the file for closing. Order Phase I Environmental & Appraisal Engagement, prepare tickets for any applicable fees. Determine and prepare disclosures to be signed at or prior to closing. Oversee Document Checklist to reflect received and pending items in collaboration with Closing Officer. Coordinate with Relationship Officer & client to satisfy remaining Pre-Closing Conditions to close. Work with Relationship Officer to monitor & collect payment on Past Due loans. Oversee Applications for Advance, payoff request, auto debit request, loan payments, and maintenance. Review documentation to open new accounts related to new loan originations. Support Portfolio Manager in monitoring portfolio performance as needed. Assist Relationship Officers with preparation of post approval change memos when necessary. Assist with gathering and providing requested documentation during internal and external audits. Assist Commercial Banking team with resolving customer problems & complaints in accordance with FirstBank's service quality standards. Assist in implementing operational policy, ensuring transactions are processed in compliance with federal, state, and bank requirements. Adhere to Bank policies including BSA, AML, and OFAC regulations. Report suspicious activities and complete mandatory compliance training. Other ad-hoc duties as necessary in support of the region and overall bank's business strategy.
