Job Description
Currently supporting our client on a Senior Portfolio Manager opportunity in Des Moines with a well-established financial institution. This is a broad, hands-on seat for someone who wants exposure across fixed income, derivatives, structured products, funding, liquidity and portfolio risk rather than being tied to one specific product. The role has a strong mix of investment decision making, trading and execution, relative value, risk management and strategic initiatives, with visibility to senior leadership. What we're looking for:
- 7+ years of investment experience
- Strong hands-on experience across fixed income, derivatives and/or securitized products
- Proven trading and execution experience
- Strong understanding of liquidity management, ALM and portfolio risk
- Experience identifying and acting on relative value opportunities
- Comfortable working directly with broker-dealers and internal stakeholders
- Strong understanding of hedge accounting
- Strong technical skill set is a must: SQL, advanced Excel and VBA
- Bloomberg proficiency
- CFA and/or MBA preferred
