You will be the person making sure our crews have what they need, our equipment is maintained, our shop stays organized, and small problems are handled before they become expensive ones. The hours for this position are 12 - 8 pm Monday through Friday. We are looking for someone who takes pride in having things clean, organized, accounted for, maintained, and ready to go . You do not need to know how to fix everything. You do need to be resourceful, mechanically inclined, and have an "I can figure it out" mindset. What You'll Be Responsible For Take ownership of the organization, condition, tracking, and readiness of company equipment and assets. Keep the shop clean, organized, safe, and fully inventoried. Track equipment, vehicles, trailers, tools, maintenance schedules, repairs, and service history. Maintain accurate records for repairs, parts, maintenance, and inventory. Make sure trucks, trailers, and equipment are standardized, stocked, organized, and ready for crews. Monitor equipment condition and proactively identify repairs, maintenance, and replacement needs. Maintain inventory of commonly used parts, tools, supplies, and materials. Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, Bobcats, and landscaping equipment. Diagnose and repair 2-cycle equipment, small engines, and other landscaping equipment. Complete minor and occasional repairs on trucks, trailers, and larger equipment when practical. Coordinate outside repairs when specialized service is needed. Make sure scheduled equipment, tools, and materials are available before crews need them. Coordinate equipment pickups, deliveries, and movement as needed. Communicate daily with field leadership regarding equipment status and operational needs. Use company systems to document repairs, maintenance, inventory, and updates. Who We're Looking For Above everything else, this role requires someone who is exceptionally organized and detail oriented. You may be a great fit if you: Notice when something is missing, damaged, dirty, out of place, or due for service. Enjoy creating systems and keeping things organized. Take ownership and follow tasks through to completion. Prefer preventing problems instead of reacting to breakdowns. Can manage many small details without letting things fall through the cracks. Work well independently and do not need constant direction. Are mechanically curious and willing to research and troubleshoot unfamiliar problems. Take pride in keeping equipment and workspaces in excellent condition. Preferred Qualifications Experience in equipment maintenance, small-engine repair, fleet maintenance, shop management, or asset management. Experience with 2-cycle engines and small-engine repair strongly preferred. General knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Ability to use diagnostic tools, including a multimeter. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills. Valid North Carolina driver's license and satisfactory driving record. High school diploma or equivalent. Mechanical or technical training is a plus. Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to: Routinely lift up to 50 pounds. Bend, stoop, lift, and perform physical work throughout the day. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Safely work around vehicles, machinery, tools, equipment, fuels, and chemicals. Follow all GrowPro safety policies and procedures.
