About the Role We are seeking a detailed, proactive, and safety-focused Asset & Safety Manager to oversee our fleet operations and driver safety program. In this dual-impact role, you will ensure our trucks are fully maintained and compliant, keep fleet operational expenses tight through rigorous auditing, and foster a culture of safety across all our terminals. Key Responsibilities Fleet Asset Management:
Schedule and monitor preventative maintenance (PMs) and equipment repairs to ensure maximum fleet uptime, reliability, and safety.
Financial & Bill Auditing:
Review, audit, and reconcile fleet-related expenditures—including vendor repair invoices, fuel cards/bills, and toll charges—to prevent overbillings and optimize operational costs.
Driver Safety & Compliance:
Audit driver logs (ELDs), monitor Hours of Service (HOS), and maintain strict compliance with
DOT/FMCSA
standards.
Terminal Safety Coordination:
Partner directly with terminal managers to identify, report, and proactively resolve potential safety hazards and operational risks.
Qualifications & Requirements Industry Experience:
Proven background in fleet management, asset control, or transportation safety management.
Regulatory Expertise:
Strong working knowledge of
DOT/FMCSA
regulations, driver log auditing, and safety compliance.
Analytical Skills:
Excellent attention to detail with experience auditing fuel, toll, and maintenance vendor billing.
Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with terminal managers, drivers, and external vendors.
Problem-Solving:

Pay:
$71,010.88 - $85,518.48 per year
