In this role, you will be responsible for leading an engaged team of technicians while delivering an exceptional service experience. The ideal candidate for this role is capable of driving excellent results and delivering operational efficiency in our service centers. What You'll Do Provide effective supervision and coaching to technical employees, ensuring the achievement of required quality and service output goals Act as the process leader for shop activities by systematically improving work standards with input from service technicians and the service center team Manage smooth workflow through the service center and maintain shop records and inventories Collaborate with the Semi Service Manager and key stakeholders to establish targets for quality, speed, and cost aligned with customer and business needs Ensure current and accurate work standards and engineering procedures, maintaining compliance for maximum quality Monitor employee compliance with safety regulations and the service center's safety program Conduct regularly scheduled one-on-one developmental meetings with team members to facilitate their professional growth while monitoring and coordinating training needs in partnership with Training Team What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience Prior leadership experience in a service-focused industry preferred; automotive experience is required Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals, and meet deadlines Ability to lead group root-cause problem-solving activities and rapidly develop countermeasures Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to effectively interact with customers as required Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekday and weekend overtime Foundational computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office required Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Tesla is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
