Responsibilities Develop new business relationships through networking, community outreach, and referral partnerships to expand the branch's client base. Ensure compliance with all Fair Housing regulations, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines, and other federal and state lending laws. Oversee credit analysis, contract negotiations, escrow procedures, and documentation accuracy using financial software such as Quicken or similar tools. Conduct thorough customer service interactions by understanding clients' financial needs, explaining loan options, and guiding them through the application process. Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including loan origination documents, contracts, and compliance reports. Monitor mortgage servicing activities to ensure timely payments and resolve borrower inquiries efficiently. Qualifications Proven experience as a Loan Officer or in mortgage-related roles with strong knowledge of loan origination processes. Demonstrated success in financial sales with excellent negotiation skills to close deals effectively. Familiarity with FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, escrow processes, and Fair Housing regulations. Proficiency in mortgage software such as Encompass or comparable financial management tools; experience with banking or accounting software is a plus. Strong math skills including basic math operations and 10-key typing accuracy for data entry tasks. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and professionally. Knowledge of TILA requirements, credit analysis techniques, contracts management, and mortgage servicing standards.
