You'll take ownership of borrower applications, preapprovals, follow-up, and daily communication to help keep clients informed and loans moving forward. The ideal candidate understands mortgage guidelines, can confidently evaluate borrower qualifications, and takes initiative with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Conduct borrower intake calls and complete loan applications (1003). Request, review, and follow up on borrower documentation. Analyze credit, income, assets, and debt-to-income ratios, including self-employed and variable income. Run and interpret DU/LPA findings, research lender guidelines, and prepare documented preapprovals and payment scenarios within company procedures. Follow up with applicants and preapproved buyers, answer routine questions, and communicate with real estate agents. Manage the owner's business inbox: organize emails, handle routine requests, track follow-ups, and flag urgent items. Prepare organized files for processing and coordinate with processors and lenders during setup. Identify potential qualification issues early and recommend solutions. Qualifications Mortgage experience as a Loan Partner, Loan Officer, experienced LOA, Processor, or Underwriter. Strong knowledge of conventional, FHA, and VA guidelines, underwriting requirements, and income calculations. Experience with ARIVE LOS or a comparable loan origination system, DU/LPA, lender portals, pricing engines, CRM platforms, and digital document management tools. Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through. Able to manage multiple applications and competing priorities independently. Full-time, in-office availability in Orange County required. Spanish-speaking preferred. Compensation $60,000 annual base salary plus bonuses, with total annual earning potential of $80,000 or more , depending on funded loan volume and performance.
