Job Description
Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Loan Processor to join our team in Sunnyvale, California. In this role, you will ensure the efficient and compliant processing of real estate loan applications while delivering exceptional service to members. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering the chance to grow within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review real estate loan applications to confirm accuracy and completeness.
- Collect, verify, and organize documentation such as income statements, credit reports, title information, and appraisals.
- Enter loan details into the credit union's system, ensuring precision and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with loan officers, underwriters, and applicants to facilitate timely processing.
- Address any questions or concerns from members regarding the loan application process.
- Ensure all loan files adhere to credit union policies, federal and state regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular quality checks to identify and resolve errors or omissions in loan documentation.
- Collaborate with the lending team to streamline workflows and enhance loan processing efficiency.
- Track the status of loans and provide regular updates to management.
- Generate detailed reports on loan metrics, including timelines, application statuses, and volume. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in residential loan processing, ideally within a credit union or community bank.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage loan program guidelines, including VA and conventional loans.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and members.
- Proficiency in loan origination software and standard office applications like Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and compliance standards in the mortgage industry.
- Experience with loan administration, mortgage processing, and loan origination.
