Senior Commercial Loan Underwriters perform the following functions: Underwrite commercial and real estate investment property loans and lines Structure commercial and real estate investment loan transactions; prepare loan memoranda and credit packages Research and examine credit and collateral risks; assess information to determine creditworthiness of existing and potential borrowers Prepare financial spreadsheets, reports, and summaries Manage a commercial and real estate investment loan portfolio to include conducting reviews of existing relationships, assessing changes in risk, preparing covenant recommendations to minimize risk, completing renewals of maturing loans Exercise sound judgment and discretion while remaining compliant with well-defined limits and guidelines. Deliver problem solving solutions and perform research as needed. Provide technical solutions in support of MIDFLORIDA's electronic services. Accountable for meeting productivity, quality, and sales goals. Professional and efficient communications with all departments promoting synergy. Exhibit a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism always. Exude a positive and professional attitude with members and partners consistently. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
3 to 5 years of commercial and real estate investment credit underwriting experience in a bank environment Understanding of balance sheets, income, and cash flow statements Understanding of commercial and real estate investment property lending policies, procedures, laws, and regulations A Bachelor's degree in a business-related field is preferred; however, we may consider a combination of education and experience for an otherwise well qualified candidate
