Full Time Council Bluffs, NE Position Overview Concentric Corporation is partnering with a community-focused financial institution to identify a Mortgage Loan Officer to develop and manage residential mortgage business in the Council Bluffs market. This is a relationship-driven position for someone who enjoys being connected to the local community, developing referral partnerships, and helping customers navigate one of their most important financial decisions. The Mortgage Loan Officer will manage residential mortgage loans from application through closing while building new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, and maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, service-focused, and comfortable taking ownership of growing their business. Previous mortgage experience is valuable, but candidates with a strong foundation in banking or lending and the ability to learn mortgage products and requirements will also be considered.

Council Bluffs, IA | Onsite Key Responsibilities Generate new residential mortgage business through community involvement, referrals, existing customer relationships, and proactive business development Develop and maintain strong referral relationships with real estate professionals, community partners, customers, and other local contacts Guide customers through the mortgage process from initial application through closing Evaluate customer financial information to identify appropriate mortgage products and lending solutions Educate borrowers on available loan options, requirements, timelines, and next steps Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the lending process Deepen existing customer relationships and identify additional opportunities to support their financial needs Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective and active mortgage customers Work closely with internal lending, underwriting, processing, and banking teams to ensure an efficient customer experience Maintain accurate and complete loan documentation Ensure mortgage activity complies with applicable lending policies, regulatory requirements, and internal standards Monitor portfolio quality and address potential concerns proactively Stay informed on mortgage products, lending guidelines, compliance requirements, and market conditions Maintain required annual NMLS registration Represent the organization professionally throughout the Council Bluffs community Travel between locations or throughout the local market as needed Qualifications 1+ year of experience in banking, lending, mortgage, or a related financial services environment Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop connections within the local market Interest and ability to generate new business and build a book of mortgage customers Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to review and analyze financial information and work through complex customer situations Strong judgment, attention to detail, and organizational skills Ability to balance business development goals with compliance and portfolio quality Willingness and ability to maintain annual NMLS registration Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed Preferred Experience Residential mortgage lending experience Existing relationships within the Council Bluffs or surrounding market Experience developing referral relationships and generating new lending business Knowledge of mortgage products, loan policies, and lending requirements Familiarity with Fannie Mae guidelines and mortgage compliance Experience managing residential loans from application through closing Who You Are You are a relationship-driven professional who enjoys being part of the community.
