Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing support to agricultural and commercial loans, including calling existing borrowers, reviewing loan documents, and closing loans. The person in this position will support lenders and other members of the team. Perform general loan administrative duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide administrative support for team lenders including scheduling appointments, answering telephones, greeting customers and written communication as well as handling customer transactions. Perform various duties accurately and efficiently.Duties may include the following:
Order and obtain required documentation, document preparation, processing, funding, and imaging new loans, extensions, and renewals. Assist in closing loans with borrowers as needed. Assist in the gathering, processing, and tracking of required documentation related to loan collateral or financial information. Complete various reports, reconciliations, and loan maintenance. Perform quality control of various loan documents and/or loan maintenance. Work with Ag/Commercial Lender(s) to attract both new and existing borrowers with a goal of increasing the bank's overall loan portfolio and improving penetration into the trade territory that the bank serves. Monitor in conjunction with lender existing loan portfolio by keeping in contact with customers to ensure complete conformity with the terms of the loan and to be cognizant of developing trends. Communicate with borrowers on behalf of the lender to collect necessary financial information. Work with the Ag/Commercial Lenders and/or Credit Analysts to gather supporting documentation as necessary for pending applications and ongoing customer loan files. Ensure that the needs of other lending team members are being met, while working as a team to ensure the needs of the customer are being met. Maintain product knowledge of all bank services and cross-sell other bank products by referral to appropriate departments Participate in community activities to increase the bank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities. Participate in bank-sponsored events as outlined in financial institution's "Community Events Program". Perform additional duties as assigned by management.DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Ability to provide excellent customer service. High level of interpersonal skills in dealing with bank customers, bank staff, and outside vendors. Working knowledge of rules and regulations related to agricultural and commercial lending. Ability to work in an environment with sensitive information, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently or as part of a team, prioritizing multiple assignments. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure. Strong work ethic, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in basic computer skills using Microsoft Office products, along with the ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize new technology. Ability to train additional staff members. Experience with Laser Pro and Precision is preferredQUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience:
Two years of recent work experience in banking or another relevant industry preferred.
