Iowa Bankers Insurance & Services, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Closer to support our Finance department in the Banking, Insurance & Investment industry. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing closing packages, ensuring regulatory and investor compliance, and coordinating with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and clients to deliver accurate, timely closings. You will clear conditions, resolve documentation discrepancies, and maintain precise records in loan systems. Responsibilities Review mortgage loan closing packages for accuracy and compliance with banking and insurance regulations Prepare, verify, and balance closing disclosures, settlement statements, and related documents Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and borrowers to schedule and finalize closings Ensure all conditions are cleared and required documentation is received prior to funding Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information in loan files Maintain detailed records in loan origination and document management systems Adhere to internal policies, federal and state regulations, and investor guidelines Provide clear, client-focused communication throughout the closing process Collaborate with finance and operations teams to meet service-level timelines Support continuous process improvement and contribute to a culture of integrity and teamwork Required Skills Mortgage closing procedures TRID and RESPA compliance Loan documentation review Closing disclosure and settlement statement preparation Loan origination systems (LOS) Title and escrow coordination Attention to detail and quality control Regulatory and investor guideline knowledge Document management systems Professional written and verbal communication
