The VP, Loan Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of the Loan Operations Department and provides administrative and operational support to the loan operations staff. The VP, Loan Operations works closely with the Lending teams within the 3 Bank charters to ensure timely and accurate processing, documentation and servicing of Consumer, Commercial and Residential Real Estate Transactions.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates highest standards of personal and professional integrity, adheres to company's policies and procedures, and complies with applicable laws, government rules and regulations. Lead the Loan Operations team to support bank growth for all 3 bank charters. Oversee the daily operations of the department including but not limited to processing, document preparation and review, loan closings, loan bookings and loan servicing. Develop periodic goals, set short-term priorities and monitor activity for timely and accurate completion of work within the Loan Operations Department. Develop policies and procedures to ensure reporting standards and departmental goals are met. Implement department training to meet compliances regulations and system updates. For participation loans, timely and accurately post loan payments as needed/directed for payments processed from both banks. For loans with tax escrows, provide review and support of the escrow portfolio and ensure annual escrow analysis is performed timely and accurately. Ensure flood insurance is maintained and accurate and any forced place insurance is properly established. Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has supervisory responsibilities for all Commercial Loan Servicing and Processing staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience:
Five or more years of related loan operations experience. Two or more years of management experience.
Certifications/Licenses:
None Skills:
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required for this position. Proficiency Experience with Banking specific software (i.e., Laser Pro, Jack Henry Silver Lake). A thorough knowledge of the loan system. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with bank staff at all levels. Excellent organizational and time management skills to maintain workflow volume. Strong ability to coach, mentor and lead a team.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Working Conditions:
Professional Office building. This position requires occasional local travel.
Physical Demands:
The ability to sit for long periods of time. The ability to see clearly at a distance of 20 inches or less, with or without corrective lenses, to read documents and/or view computer screens. The ability to hear, with or without hearing assistant, and talk and to communicate in person and via phone. The ability to use hands/fingers to enter, retrieve and/or manipulate data using a keyboard and computer daily.
