Job Description
Overview Grand Ridge National Bank is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Portfolio Manager. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your financial expertise, analytical skills, and industry knowledge to optimize portfolio performance, ensure compliance with lending regulations, and foster strong client relationships. As a key player in our financial services team, you will drive risk assessment, financial analysis, and data-driven decision-making to support sustainable growth and profitability. Responsibilities
- Partner with Relationship Managers by serving as the primary point of contact for borrowers regarding portfolio management activities and acting as a liaison between borrowers and internal support teams and specialists.
- Ensure all loan renewals, annual loan reviews, and loan modifications are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with credit policy and established procedures, including complex financial analysis and credit processing.
- Develop and implement retention strategies designed to minimize loan runoff and strengthen customer loyalty.
- Manage the loan closing process from approval through booking. Key responsibilities include ensuring all conditions precedent to closing are satisfied, ordering and reviewing due diligence items, reviewing loan documentation, and coordinating all closing activities.
- Collect, monitor, and track loan covenants and other credit conditions in accordance with approved loan terms and documentation requirements.
- Identify high-risk loans and relationships and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies to resolve issues and reduce the Bank's exposure to potential credit losses. Activities may include working with legal counsel, negotiating with borrowers, and recommending workout structures that are in the best interests of both the Bank and the customer.
- Oversee loan workout activities for non-performing loans and other distressed credits, including real estate owned (REO) assets. Responsibilities include initiating collection efforts and coordinating legal actions as necessary.
- Ensure all portfolio management activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and deepen existing customer relationships by promoting the Bank's lending, deposit, treasury management, and cash management products and services.
- Lead and manage special projects as assigned by management.
- Maintain a high-quality commercial loan portfolio through sound portfolio management practices and proactive risk management. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more years of experience in commercial banking, preferably in a Portfolio Manager, Relationship Manager, or Credit Analyst role.
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending products, services, processes, policies, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of commercial loan structuring, documentation, collateral perfection, and credit administration practices.
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial lending workout situations and familiarity with related legal remedies, collection practices, and recovery strategies.
- Excellent financial analysis skills, including experience analyzing financial statements, assessing cash flow repayment capacity, performing financial spreads, and calculating key debt service coverage and collateral coverage ratios.
- Strong interpersonal, relationship management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate complex customer situations and achieve favorable outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending systems and technology platforms that support the end-to-end credit lifecycle.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per yearBenefits:
