40+ hours per week, M-F, rotating Saturday mornings

A Mortgage Loan Officer is a critical member of the bank's overall team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people, building long-term relationships, and contributing to the bank's growth through quality lending. As a key member of the team, you will work directly with customers to obtain residential loans, support overall branch operations, and deliver exceptional service.
Primary Duties:
Serve customers seeking residential loan products. Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility. Analyze loan requests, identifying strengths and risks. Make loan decisions within authority or recommend to management. Communicate with clients to gather and provide required information. Manage and service your loan portfolio, including delinquency follow-up. Develop and maintain relationships with customers, prospects, and community organizations. Represent the bank at community events and networking opportunities. Support a positive and team-oriented work environment. Assist with addressing customer concerns beyond front-line staff capabilities. Oversee administration of loans you originate. Prepare reports and attend meetings as required. Cross-sell Bank products and services. Complete all required training, including BSA/AML. Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulations. Other duties as assigned. Previous experience in mortgage lending, banking, or financial services preferred. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Effective communication and customer service abilities. Sound judgment and decision-making skills. Ability to analyze financial information and assess risk. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Working knowledge of banking regulations is a plus.
