The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ability to initiate and develop outside business to drive loan volume is required. Experience with mortgage loan sales is required. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Conduct loan interviews, discuss programs, explain processes, and request supporting documentation for loan approval. Evaluate credit and financial status of prospective borrowers to make sales of residential mortgage loans. Cross sell Credit Union products and services. Make outgoing calls to sell our products and services. Maintain a working knowledge of all credit union mortgage products including purchase money 1st mortgages, 1st mortgage refinances, 2nd mortgages, HELOCs, bridge loans, construction loans, and
VA/USDA/FHA
loans. Understand and apply all federal rules and regulations associated with mortgage lending. Develop and maintain working relationships with realtors. Attend purchase loan closings. Assist in fielding member calls associated with mortgage lending. Develop a working knowledge of the Credit Union's data processing system, loan origination system, Word, and Excel software. Maintain knowledge of available loan products, processing procedures and underwriting guidelines. Any other duties assigned by supervisor or management.
