Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Mortgage Specialist is responsible for supporting the mortgage loan process by reviewing loan information, coordinating documentation, communicating with borrowers and internal teams, and ensuring files are complete and accurate. This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, customer service, and knowledge of the mortgage process.Essential Job Functions:
Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and consistency. Communicate with borrowers and internal teams to obtain outstanding documentation and provide timely status updates. Maintain accurate loan information and document all updates, communications, and activity within applicable mortgage systems. Review loan files and documentation to ensure they meet established processing and quality requirements. Request, track, and follow up on required documentation from borrowers and third parties, including insurance, payoff information, employment verification, and other supporting documents. Complete processing checklists and monitor files to ensure outstanding requirements are addressed and loans remain on track. Review loan information and applicable guidelines to identify discrepancies, missing information, or items requiring additional review. Escalate issues appropriately when additional review, clarification, or restructuring of the loan is required. Monitor assigned loan pipelines, deadlines, and service-level requirements to ensure timely completion. Maintain accurate records and provide updates regarding loan status and outstanding requirements. Deliver professional and responsive customer service while assisting borrowers throughout the mortgage process. Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Previous mortgage, lending, loan processing, or financial services experience preferred. Strong understanding of the mortgage loan process and workflow. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple files, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service and phone skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based systems. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with internal teams.Pay:
$25.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
