The Loan Originator position at The HELOC Company is built for ambitious people who want more than a standard sales job. No previous mortgage experience is required. Our training program is designed to develop motivated individuals into knowledgeable, confident mortgage professionals with a deep understanding of lending, sales, and personal finance. The HELOC Company was built around a specialized HELOC program developed by our company to serve a part of the market that traditional lenders often cannot. Rather than competing to sell the same mortgage products offered everywhere else, our Loan Originators become experts in a differentiated solution that allows us to help homeowners who may have been unable to find the financial options they need elsewhere. This is a highly consultative sales role with no cold calling. All potential customers are screened and transferred directly to our Loan Originators, so the focus is on speaking with interested homeowners, understanding their financial goals, structuring solutions, and guiding borrowers from the first conversation through closing. It is a sales environment built around real opportunities, not dialing unqualified lists. Main Duties:
Originate mortgage loans by working with screened potential customers who are transferred directly to you - no cold calling. Analyze borrowers' financial situations and recommend appropriate loan products. Educate clients on loan features, terms, and repayment options. Collect and review initial documentation to ensure application packages are complete and compliant. Maintain strong knowledge of current lending guidelines, loan products, interest rates, and compliance regulations. Collaborate with processors, underwriters, and closing teams to ensure a smooth and timely loan process. Build and maintain relationships with realtors, brokers, builders, and other referral sources. Accurately maintain systems with up-to-date loan pipeline data and client communications. Meet or exceed monthly production goals while ensuring quality and compliance. Provide exceptional customer service. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. No previous mortgage experience required. Sales, customer service, retail, or other client-facing experience is preferred. Recent college graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Extensive mortgage, product, and sales training will be provided. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Commission Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
