SERVICING MANAGER - JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY & PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Servicing Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing all mortgage servicing operations. This includes loan setup and transfer, escrow management, payment processing, and sub-servicer management. This position will drive change, develop business process improvements, and meet customer service satisfaction
PRIMARY POSITION-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage day-to-day functioning of the loan servicing and improve processes when necessary; Use company data to better control operating costs and implement updated procedures/policies in order to reach quality targets and service expectations; Apply extensive knowledge of operations management to improve profitability; Over-site of sub-servicer to ensure compliance with servicing agreements; Transfer loan data and verify reports for completeness and accuracy; Collaborate with team members to resolve delinquent loans; Form and manage a network of external vendors while building relationships; Monitor servicer cash flow, reporting, and credit risk mitigation; Provide escrow servicing, escrow analysis, and escrow disclosurestatements; Assist with account reconciliation as needed; Prepare and post borrower payment deposits; As needed reporting and reconciliation of MERS data; Complete daily/weekly/monthly reporting requirements; Monitor work volumes and forecast for future needs; Coordination of sale or acquisition of servicing to/from others; Handle servicing related audits and develop state/federal filing requirements deemed necessary by compliance; Stay up-to-date with compliance regulations; Complete other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 3-5
years loan servicing experience; Must be familiar with
GNMA, FNMA, FHLMC
; Understanding of loan servicing requirements for investors; High level of customer service; Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and industry experience; Demonstrate leadership with the ability to resolve problems and exercise sound decisions; Comfortable multi-tasking in a rapidly changing environment; Experience with Encompass is preferred; Keen attention to detail.
