This position will report directly to the VP of Lending.
The ideal candidate:
Drive mortgage loan growth by originating residential mortgage loans, developing community and business referral relationships, and delivering superior member experience. Responsible for prospecting, pre-qualifying applicants, managing loan pipelines, and guiding members through the mortgage process from application through closing. Generate mortgage loan volume through consultative sales activities for purchase, refinance, and home equity lending opportunities. Develop and maintain strong referral relationships with real estate professionals, builders, financial advisors, and other business partners to support mortgage loan growth. Partner with referral sources to identify prospective borrowers and recommend appropriate mortgage solutions based on creditworthiness, income, assets, property value, and lending guidelines. Build and maintain strong relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication. Represent the Credit Union at community events, networking functions, and industry activities to promote mortgage products and services. Maintain all required licensing, registration, and continuing education requirements, including NMLS requirements. A successful candidate will be an approachable team player with a personable and professional demeanor, a desire to learn and driven to achieve outstanding results-accurately and efficiently. We seek candidates with a Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of 5 years of mortgage lending or origination experience, NMLS license, and an in-depth knowledge of mortgage products, industry regulations, and financial analysis.
