Employees should strive to help our credit union achieve the strategic goals set by the Board of Directors.PURPOSE:
Provide information on credit union products and services to members according to all credit union policies and procedures and Federal and State rules and regulations. Answer questions from members on real estate loans and rates. Provide member with applications, interview for routine loans or to obtain additional information, and set up appointments with mortgage loan officer. Collate, review, and verify a myriad of loan documents for accuracy for real estate transactions. Promote credit union products and services.QUALIFICATIONS
Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Team player and willingness to provide assistance when called upon. Strong computer skills and problem-solving abilities will be required. Strong organizational and member service skills. Ability to become and remain NMLS licensed and 100% bonded. Previous credit union or member service experience desirable. High school diploma or GED required.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge on the followingMortgage Guidelines:
secondary market (FNMA) guidelines, PMI guidelines, FHA guidelines, and RD guidelines. Have working knowledge of the mortgage process: underwriting, credit loan analysis, property appraisal, title work, flood certificates, verifications, and disbursement. Follow up with members on the telephone to request additional documents. Process and input balloon renewal mortgages in Symitar/MeridianLink Mortgage. Schedule Mortgage Interviews with the Mortgage Loan Officer. Assist members both in-person and via phone to quote interest rates, solve payment problems, answer questions on mortgages and home equity products, and update the member on the status of application. Inform members of their loan approvals or denials and any loan requirements or conditions. Review files to determine if additional documentation needs to be requested from the member. Order Appraisal, Title Insurance, Flood Determination, Survey (if applicable), verification of employment, verification of deposit and verification of mortgage as needed. Assist with the preparation of closing packages - Order and update payoffs, disburse mortgages, and update information in MeridianLink Mortgage. Examine documents such as deeds, assignments, and mortgage to ensure compliance. Review file after closing - Verify all information that is inputted into MeridianLink Mortgage/Symitar correctly. Process Monthly Bill Pay for tax and insurance payments. Assist with Annual Escrow Analysis. Process payoff requests and mortgage discharges. Filing folders and imaging documents. Delinquent Property Tax Verification. Process Collateral Protection Insurance Policies. Contact members regarding their delinquent NMS mortgage. Perform other related duties as assigned.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
