A Mortgage Loan Officer assists customers who apply for loans, and solicits loan applications on behalf of a bank, mortgage broker or credit union. Provides information on types of loans available, gathers financial and credit information needed to evaluate loan applications; guides the application and approval process. May partner with real estate agents to offer financing information to potential home buyers. May sell mortgage loans on commission.

The Bank charges an administrative fee associated with the closing of the loan. To ensure complete, accurate, and timely loan processing, data capture, and generation of business records, a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer may use only those data systems provided and used by the Bank; including but not limited to the loan origination system, prescribed automated underwriting systems (if applicable), and payroll and accounting systems. A Loan Officer may not use any other program or system without the prior written consent of Executive Vice President -Mortgage Lending.Job Qualifications/Requirements Education/Credentials Minimum Education Level:
High School Diploma Prior Experience Required:
5 years of banking experience, preferably in mortgage]Technical Skills Required:
Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.Required:
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or customer complaints.Required:
Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, employees, regulators, or board members.Required:
Proficient in writing in the English languageRequired:
Excellent analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.Required:

Knowledge of bank regulations affecting customer accounts The salary range for this full-time position is $17.00 - $18.00 hourly + bonus + benefits Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location.
