We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Loan Underwriter Specialist to join our Loan Operations team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with people, and building a stable long-term career in the mortgage and banking industry. No mortgage experience? No problem. We provide paid training for the right candidate with the right attitude and work ethic. What You'll Do As a Loan Underwriter Specialist, you will play a key role in reviewing loan applications and guiding approved loans through the closing process.

Responsibilities Include:

Review and evaluate credit applications using company lending guidelines Communicate with applicants, community owners, realtors, and other stakeholders Collect and verify required documentation for loan files Prepare closing documents and coordinate loan closings Ensure timely and accurate loan processing from approval through post-closing Deliver a professional and positive customer experience throughout the process Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance standards This position is part of a collaborative, fast-paced team environment where communication, professionalism, and attention to detail are highly valued.

What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:

Must live locally — this is an in-office position (not remote) Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Strong attention to detail and accuracy Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Professional attitude and team-oriented mindset Preferred (But Not Required): Associate degree Experience in mortgage lending, underwriting, banking, finance, or loan processing No prior underwriting experience required — we are willing to train motivated candidates seeking a long-term career opportunity.
