Medical Office Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support in an Optometric office setting, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient service. We are looking for someone to work in our Gloversville NY.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients in a courteous and professional manner
• Schedule patient appointments
• Maintain and update patient medical records with accuracy
• Handle incoming calls, inquiries, and requests
• Assist with insurance verification and billing processes
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers
• Manage front desk activities and ensure the reception area is tidy
• Support clinical staff with various administrative tasks
• Willingness to perform Optometric Technician duties after training provided.

Skills:

• Excellent patient service and interpersonal skills
• Experience in medical terminology and billing is a plus
