Insurance Specialist

• 33/hour Summary This role will ensure appropriate insurance coverage is in place before closing and that loan files comply with federal flood regulations, Credit Policy, and applicable bank requirements.

Responsibilities Serve as the primary contact for pre-closing insurance reviews, ensuring adequate coverage is in place before loan closing. Review insurance policies, requirements, and documentation for commercial mortgages and commercial loans. Perform pre

Review property, casualty, liability, and other applicable insurance coverage and limits. Identify and resolve insurance deficiencies or discrepancies by working with lenders, Compliance, Loan Servicing, and insurance agencies. Maintain accurate records of insurance policies, coverage requirements, expiration dates, and flood zone changes. Conduct portfolio reviews and audits as needed. Assist with regulatory examinations, including OCC reviews, policy updates, and procedure changes. Prepare guidance and support training for lenders regarding insurance requirements. BSA, USA PATRIOT

Act, OFAC, and federal flood regulations. Report potential BSA/AML concerns in accordance with bank procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma required. 3+ years of related experience within financial services, insurance, or a similar field. Strong knowledge of commercial loan insurance requirements, property/casualty coverage, liability insurance, and federal flood regulations. Experience reviewing insurance documentation and identifying coverage deficiencies. Ability to interpret complex insurance requirements and federal regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
