Job Description

At 1st National Bank, we're looking for a team member who is passionate about building relationships and delivering personalized service. In this role, you'll guide individuals and businesses through the lending process with care, integrity, and expertise—making a meaningful impact every step of the way. As a Commercial Loan Officer, you'll serve as both a trusted advisor and a decision-maker. This role requires strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to balance financial insight with a people-first approach. Each day brings the opportunity to combine analytical skills with relationship-building to support our customers and our community. Key Responsibilities Meet with customers and business prospects to provide financial guidance and recommendations Networks with the community to provide education on small business loan and account products to meet their needs. Obtain referrals. Participate in community activities to enhance personal and bank recognition Work with the credit analyst to underwrite loan requests and present to loan committee for approvals Manage a loan portfolio to include: Insure that all documentation is saved in the credit file Maintain current financial information in the credit file Perform annual credit reviews Meet with customers to discuss their financial needs and provide solutions Collect delinquent loan payments, tax returns and financial statements Other duties as assigned This Job Is Ideal for

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field preferred Minimum three years of underwriting experience in a financial institution or similar role Extensive knowledge of banking industry regulations and procedures Experience with loan origination and document storage software and Excel Must be organized with an attention to detail Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to win sales, negotiate loan terms, obtain loan approvals and manage customer relationships
