Hybrid - Office & Field-Based Client Engagement About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Loan Officer to join their team and serve the agricultural community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an agriculture background and experience in credit, underwriting, lending, or business development who enjoys working directly with clients and building long-term relationships. The ideal candidate is a smart, hungry, self-starter who understands the unique financial needs of farmers and agricultural businesses and is eager to grow a loan portfolio while providing exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage a strong loan portfolio while achieving established lending and location goals. Build and maintain trusted relationships with agricultural clients through regular in-person visits and ongoing communication. Evaluate loan requests, financial information, and creditworthiness to support sound lending decisions. Prepare, review, and maintain accurate loan documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities to expand existing relationships and develop new business within the agricultural community. Partner with senior lending team members to develop and execute business development strategies. Support loan operations and ensure a smooth, efficient experience for clients. Participate in community outreach, networking, and marketing activities to increase awareness and generate new lending opportunities. Monitor existing accounts and assist with risk management and portfolio quality. Maintain a strong understanding of agricultural markets, client needs, and lending products. Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in credit, underwriting, lending, or a related financial services environment. Background or experience in agriculture, farming, agribusiness, or a closely related field strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and identify business opportunities. Strong financial analysis, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and work with loan documentation and credit information. Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently. Strong attention to detail and sound judgment. Ability and willingness to travel locally to meet with clients and prospects. Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
