In this pivotal role, you will lead the loan origination process, evaluate borrower creditworthiness, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Your expertise in mortgage lending, banking regulations, and customer relationship management will drive successful loan approvals and foster long-term client partnerships. Responsibilities Manage the full loan origination process, from initial application through approval, ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards including TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and Fair Housing regulations. Conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessment using industry-standard Loan Origination Systems (LOS) and financial software tools. Engage with clients to understand their financial needs, providing tailored solutions while building strong relationships through excellent customer service and clear communication. Negotiate loan terms with applicants, balancing client needs with company policies and compliance requirements. Collaborate with underwriting teams to review documentation, verify borrower information, and facilitate smooth loan processing for mortgage lending products. Stay updated on industry knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines. Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, contracts, escrow details, and loan documentation while managing multiple cases efficiently. Requirements Proven experience as a Loan Officer or Executive Loan Officer within mortgage lending or retail banking environments. Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to analyze credit reports and perform risk assessments confidently. Familiarity with Fair Housing laws, TILA regulations, FNMA guidelines, and overall compliance with loan processing standards. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on relationship building in financial sales environments. Strong understanding of banking regulatory compliance related to mortgage lending. Effective communication skills for client interaction, contract explanation, and collaboration with internal teams. Basic math skills along with experience in handling loan processing tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
