Role Description:
The Mortgage Loan Originator will manage the end-to-end loan origination process, including prospecting and qualifying borrowers, gathering financial documentation, and recommending appropriate mortgage products. This role will guide customers through application, pre-qualification, and approval, clearly explaining loan terms, rates, and conditions while ensuring compliance with lending regulations and company policies. The Mortgage Loan Originator will collaborate closely with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to move files efficiently from application to funding and resolve documentation or credit issues. Daily activities also include building and maintaining relationships with real estate professionals, community partners, and referral sources, and using CRM and loan origination systems to track pipeline activity and meet production goals. This role will require in-office attendance for the first two weeks of employment for training purposes (2 hours a day). After this period, employees are allowed to work in a hybrid or remote capacity. Training is scheduled to start on August 10th. Qualifications Solid foundation in finance, including ability to analyze income, assets, credit, and debt-to-income ratios. Active state mortgage loan originator (MLO) license and NMLS registration. Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills with diverse borrowers and referral partners. Proficiency with loan origination software, online application tools, and standard office productivity applications. Prior experience in residential mortgage lending, banking, or financial services preferred. Compensation Commission based. First year Loan Officers typically earn between $100,000-$120,000 a year.
