Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Loan Specialist to join the Credit Services Administration team in Pittsburgh, PA. This hybrid role supports Credit Services Institutional Bank Lending divisions. This middle - office role supports loan closing readiness, credit agreement interpretation, facility setup and activation, ongoing facility maintenance, regulatory data requirements and portfolio monitoring across Corporates, Financial Institutions, and Real Estate lending. This role is based in Pittsburgh with an expectation of 4 days onsite per week and standard hours of 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Eastern.
Key Responsibilities:
Loan Origination Coordination:
Coordinate the onboarding, facility setup, and activation of new and amended bilateral and syndicated credit facilities. Interpret complex credit agreement and loan documentation, ensure facility terms are accurately captured in source systems and partner with major stakeholders throughout the life of the credit facilities.
Credit Documentation Review:
Analyze and interpret credit agreements and related legal documentation to extract and validate key economic and structural terms such as rates, fees, covenants, maturities, and other deal attributes
Facility Setup & Lifecycle Management:
Own facility setup and maintenance across the loan lifecycle, including onboarding, amendments, waivers, extensions, repricings, restructurings, and related updates
Portfolio Monitoring:
Monitor assigned loan portfolios, reconcile activity across stakeholders, and support covenant compliance and ongoing portfolio administration
Stakeholder Coordination:
Work closely with lenders, loan operations, administrators, regulatory partners, and other internal business stakeholders across multiple platforms and lines of business
Regulatory & Quality Control Support:
Ensure data integrity, quality control, and compliance with internal procedures and applicable reporting requirements, including support for regulatory processes such as FR Y-14Q and 2052a
Cross-Functional Change Support:
Support migration to a new loan system by partnering with business teams on requirements gathering, testing, and stakeholder coordination
Cross-Training & Development:
Build expertise across different segments such as corporates, real estate, and financial institutions, with opportunity for broader cross-training over time
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in loan agency, syndicated loans, middle office, credit administration, or a related financial services function Experience reading and interpreting credit agreements and other complex legal or lending documentation Strong understanding of the syndicated loan lifecycle, including closings, onboarding, maintenance events, and portfolio monitoring Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills Ability to work effectively in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across a broad set of internal and external stakeholders Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office Suite Bachelor's degree in
Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration Preferred Experience:
3-5 years of relevant loan agency experience supporting syndicated loans and complex documentation review Familiarity with
LSTA/LMA
standards and syndicated loan settlement or par loan trading processes Experience with workflow tools such as ClearPar /
