POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Commercial Loan Officer will service and maintain a portfolio of a variety of commercial loan accounts. Interview, assess and analyze prospective loan clients and their financial position. Establish new business loan and deposit prospects through sales calls, networking and referral base. Grant new loans according to bank guidelines and loan policy. This is a hybrid role. Local candidates only.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Collects and analyzes financial and related data to determine the credit worthiness of the borrower within the parameters of the bank's loan policies. Establishes and negotiates the terms under which credit will be granted to comply with loan underwriting guidelines. Solicits business from new and existing customers; actively seeks out, identifies and solicits commercial loan business consistent with the bank's objectives to increase the commercial loan and deposit relationship portfolio. Ensures proper loan documentation is executed to provide the bank with a valid promissory note and security interest in collateral. Develops deposit and treasury management relationships. Provides excellent customer service. Manages individual loan portfolio including collections and restructuring of problem loans. Reviews existing loan portfolio for documentation exceptions and periodic financial statements. Refers clients and prospects to "non-bank" investment, insurance and mortgage related services. Performs other responsibilities and special projects, as requested. Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with AI tools and maintains an open, curious approach to emerging technologies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Will demonstrate leadership and provide coaching to loan team, including Portfolio Managers, Business Banking Assistants, and Team Members. No direct reports.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
College degree in business related field required Previous financial industry experience required Strong sales skill set Previous credit analysis experience beneficial Comprehensive skill set in the use of the following software applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Dale Carnegie sales training beneficial CRE and C&I lending experience preferred Commercial Lending Academy beneficial SBA Experience preferred Commercial lending experience expectation, as follows: Senior Commercial Loan Officer = Commercial credit experience fifteen (15) years plus preferred; supervisory responsibilities, positive messaging, ability to lead and close complex lending structures or specialized facilities
