Escrow Officer Confidential Knoxville, TN Job Details Full-time From $28 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Closing coordination Document preparation (loan closing) Customer communication Sales Basic math Process management Full Job Description The Escrow Officer coordinates and manages closings and escrow transactions, disburses funds, reviews closing documents, prepares settlement statements and conducts closings. Stay up-to-date in the title, mortgage and escrow industry and adjust to the market to best serve the objectives of the organization. Recommend strategies in an effort to capture new business.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Review sales contracts and work to meet conditions of the contract. Direct the activities of the Escrow Assistant to ensure all business operating practices are executed in a timely manner. Prepare closing documents, settlement statements and various documents using SoftPro or other title software programs. Review title commitment requirements, assuring compliance. Manage the complete closing process coordinating with banks, attorneys, real estate agents, buyers/borrowers and sellers regarding respective information. Coordinate closing documents, review executed documents, manage disbursement of funds and sending of documents for recording. Communicate with attorney, underwriter, lender and surveyor regarding policy, zoning and other title matters as needed. Diplomatically handle and resolve any disputes surrounding the closing process. Provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to perform mathematical calculations, such as interest, percentages, etc. Knowledge of legal documents, local escrow procedures and terminology, and basic sales and services techniques. Knowledge of the purpose of title insurance and related services, and terminology involved in escrow transactions. Previous experience with SoftPro or other title software. Ability to perform assignments guided by general escrow procedures. Ability to maintain composure in times of stress or interaction with difficult clients. Excellent communication skills on all levels within and outside the organization, and the ability to negotiate solutions.
Pay:
From $28.00 per hour
