Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Special Assets Manager. Under the direction of the Chief Lending Officer, the Special Assets Manager will manage, resolve, and recover the Bank's classified, delinquent, and non-performing assets. They will develop and execute strategies that minimize loss, protect collateral, and ensure timely resolution of problem credits. In addition, they will oversee the integrity and compliance of loan documentation practices, ensuring lending records are accurate, complete, and aligned with regulatory requirements. This role requires strong credit judgment, sound decision-making ability as well as the ability to effectively collaborate with senior management, legal counsel, and lending teams. The primary focus of this position is the management and resolution of problem assets, with loan documentation oversight serving as a supporting responsibility.
Preferred Requirements:
Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in special assets, loan workouts, or credit risk management
- Experience managing classified assets, non-accrual loans, and OREO preferred Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of commercial, consumer, and real estate lending
- Experience with loan restructuring, collections, and recovery strategies
- Working knowledge of foreclosure, bankruptcy, and legal recovery processes
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to Bank systems Professional Attributes
- High level of accountability and sound decision-making ability
- Ability to work independently and manage complex situations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism The salary range for the position is $60,000 to $105,000.
