Job Description

The Loan Officer is responsible for originating new agricultural and commercial lending opportunities while managing an assigned portfolio of customer relationships. This role focuses on developing new business, maintaining strong customer relationships, and delivering financing solutions that support customer success and ARM's continued growth. A strong understanding of the agricultural market and local community is essential.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a portfolio of approximately 40 customer relationships within the assigned territory or market. Develop and maintain new and existing customer relationships with aggregate balances of up to $1 million and/or long-standing ARM customer relationships. Attract, retain, and manage the organization's high-volume customer relationships that are not assigned to an Area Manager or Senior Loan Officer. As Area Manager and Senior Loan Officer portfolios grow, assume responsibility for transitioned customer relationships to ensure continuity of service and ongoing relationship management. Serve as the primary day-to-day relationship manager for assigned customer accounts. Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure satisfaction, strengthen relationships, and identify financing and service needs. Drive annual renewal activities, including pricing discussions, term negotiations, and coordination of required documentation. Partner with Credit, Operations, and other internal departments to facilitate seamless renewals, issue resolution, and exceptional customer service. Monitor portfolio performance, customer utilization trends, and potential risk indicators, escalating concerns as appropriate. Coordinate the timely collection of financial statements, reporting requirements, and other required customer documentation. Maintain accurate customer records, pipeline activity, forecasts, and relationship updates within HubSpot CRM. Participate in Regional Meetings by providing pipeline updates, portfolio status, and closing forecasts. Support customer retention initiatives by proactively addressing customer concerns and strengthening long-term customer relationships. Assist customers with onboarding and effective utilization of the ARM customer portal and its functionality.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Background in agriculture with business development experience. Ability to build relationships to promote loan volume and credit quality. Self-motivated and driven. Strong communication skills. Experience with loan documentation.
