Job Description
Description Responsible for originating residential mortgage loans so that borrowers receive the best possible customer service and speed of origination. This includes delivering proper disclosures, collecting documentation, and providing excellent customer service. Follows company policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely closing. Multiple Positions throughout our market. Positions are based in Augusta and Shenandoah Counties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with assigned loan processor to promote communication, and to ensure quality service delivery throughout the company, as well as with external customers. Successful marketing and relationship building with realtors, builders, and other business partners by spending at least 60% of your working time out of the office in order to network and originate mortgage loans to meet or exceed an agreed upon mortgage production goal as well as all required legal lending guidelines. Maintaining a complete and thorough knowledge of products, secondary market guidelines, individual investor guidelines, company policies and procedures and following all regulatory procedures including RESPA, Dodd-Frank, etc Cross-selling bank products when given the opportunity Attending staff meetings/trainings Take education classes as assigned by the company through the ABA Providing all mortgage clients with knowledgeable mortgage advice that will benefit the client Locking interest rates for the appropriate timeframe and ensuring they do not expire Structuring mortgage loans and inputting them into loan origination software Obtaining and reviewing consumer credit reports Making sure loans are approved through the appropriate AUS system Sending disclosures to borrowers in the required timeframes Collecting initial documentation from borrowers (paystubs, tax returns, assets, etc) Updating and advising all parties involved in the mortgage transaction Maintain complete discretion and confidence of all information pertaining to loan packages and clients personal information. Perform other related work as required. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
