Overview:
Near North is looking for an experienced Escrow Officer for our growing Green Bay office who will be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of real estate transactions.
Primary Responsibilities:
File Management & Transaction Coordination Open and establish escrow files in accordance with company procedures. Review purchase agreements, lender instructions, title commitments, and transaction documents. Obtain buyer and seller information, authorizations, and required documentation. Coordinate communication with buyers, sellers, real estate professionals, lenders, attorneys, and other transaction participants; including timely updates to all involved parties. Maintain accurate and complete transaction files throughout the closing process. Monitor critical dates, deadlines, and contractual requirements. Title Clearance & Curative Support Review title commitments and identify items requiring resolution prior to closing. Order and obtain payoff statements, mortgage releases, HOA information, tax information, judgments, and other documentation necessary to clear title. Coordinate with title personnel, lenders, attorneys, and customers to satisfy title requirements. Track outstanding items and follow up proactively to ensure timely resolution. Closing Preparation Prepare and review closing packages and transaction documentation. Draft and balance Closing Disclosures, Settlement Statements, and other closing-related documents as required. Verify transaction figures, commissions, prorations, taxes, payoffs, and fees for accuracy. Coordinate receipt of lender documents and final closing instructions. Ensure all file conditions and requirements have been satisfied prior to closing. Customer Service & Communication Provide exceptional service to buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate professionals. Respond promptly to inquiries and provide regular transaction updates. Communicate professionally and effectively with all parties throughout the transaction. Monitor Escrow email inbox Assist in resolving customer concerns and transaction issues that arise during the closing process.
Qualifications:
2+ years of escrow or real estate closing experience, preferably with a book of business Title Insurance experience preferred High School Diploma; College Degree preferred Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation Willing and able to travel as needed SoftPro experience is a plus Superior customer service, organization and accuracy Interpersonal with strong written and verbal communication skills Strong knowledge of the real estate industry and local market Why work for us?
