Full-Time About the Role We are seeking an experienced Commercial Loan Officer to join our community bank and support continued growth in our local market. This position is responsible for developing new commercial relationships, managing an existing loan portfolio, and delivering high-quality financial solutions to local businesses. Strong local market experience and community involvement are required. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Relationship Management
  • Develop new commercial lending relationships through referrals, networking, and active participation in community and business organizations.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial loans and deposits.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business customers by understanding their financial needs and long-term goals.
  • Partner with internal teams to cross-sell appropriate bank products and services. Credit Analysis & Loan Structuring
  • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and collateral to assess credit risk.
  • Structure and recommend commercial loan requests in accordance with bank credit policy.
  • Prepare credit memorandums and present loan requests for approval.
  • Proactively monitor credit quality and address potential issues. Portfolio Management & Compliance
  • Conduct ongoing relationship reviews and maintain accurate loan documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor covenants, financial reporting, and collateral values.
  • Coordinate with credit administration and loan operations to ensure timely loan processing. Community & Market Engagement
  • Maintain a visible presence in the local market through civic involvement and community events.
  • Stay informed on local economic conditions, industry trends, and competitive activity.
  • Represent the bank professionally and positively within the community. Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of commercial lending or related banking experience.
  • Demonstrated success and established relationships within the local market.
  • Strong understanding of commercial credit analysis and loan structuring.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Preferred
  • Previous community bank experience.
  • Existing portfolio of local commercial relationships.
