Under general administrative direction, plans, organizes, manages, and oversees the daily operations of the Loan Processing Department, including consumer loan processing, documentation, compliance, workflow management, staff supervision, quality assurance, and member service functions. Ensures lending operations are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and organizational standards while supporting strategic lending initiatives and operational excellence. Develops and monitors departmental workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, turnaround times, and member satisfaction. Analyzes lending pipeline metrics and processing trends to identify opportunities for operational improvements. Partners with underwriting, collections, compliance, and member service departments to ensure seamless loan processing operations. Assists with strategic planning initiatives related to lending growth, member experience, and operational scalability. Oversees vendor relationships associated with loan processing systems, title services, credit reporting, and document management. Maintains and optimizes loan origination systems (LOS) and related lending technologies. Participates in testing, implementation, and enhancement of lending software, automation tools, and digital workflows. Ensures data integrity and accuracy within lending systems and electronic records. Supports digital lending initiatives including e-signature, online applications, automated decisioning, and electronic document retention. Conducts regular quality assurance reviews and audits of loan files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. Monitors operational risk indicators and recommends corrective actions when deficiencies are identified. Assists in preparation for internal and external audits and regulatory examinations. Resolves escalated member concerns related to loan processing, documentation, or funding issues. Performs a variety of management and supervisory functions. Oversees and manages assigned staff and personnel. Interviews prospective employees. Hires and/or recommends hiring. Identifies and implements new employee and on-going staff training programs. Coordinates, prioritizes and assigns tasks and projects. Establishes employee and operational performance measures, goals and objectives. Evaluates work progress. Prepares performance appraisals. Recommends and implements disciplinary actions up to and including suspension and/or termination. Performs a combination of correspondence related functions. Drafts, composes, reviews, edits and/or revises a variety of written documents, summaries and reports. Reviews and manages delinquent loans. Creates, updates, reviews and approves advertisement and public awareness correspondence. Responsible for compliance with the Bank Secrecy and Anti Money Laundering Acts including monitoring for such illegal activity as it applies to this position. Performs other duties as assigned or required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
Knowledge of applicable credit union rules, ordinances, codes, regulations, administrative orders, case law and other governing rules and regulations. Knowledge of the Credit Union's policies and procedures. Knowledge of the principles of file and records management. Knowledge of the principles of customer service. Skill in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands. Skill in working within deadlines to complete projects and assignments. Skill in assessing, analyzing, identifying and recommending solutions to problems. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with co-workers, other UniWyo CU employees, representatives from other credit unions, the news media, general public and/or others having business with UniWyo CU. Skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software and operating systems/applications.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
An associates degree in banking, accounting, business, finance or closely related field AND three (3) years of relevant loan, banking, finance, or closely related experience that includes management or supervision OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be proficient in word processing and current spreadsheet software. May be required to move and/or transport heavy, bulky supplies, materials and/or other items weighing up to 40 pounds. May be exposed to potential physical harm and infectious diseases. May be required to work outside the traditional work schedule.HOW TO APPLY
