Job Description

Position Summary:
This position funds loans for the Consumer Lending Department working closely with our members, employees and dealerships. This position also will collaborate with the Consumer underwriters, branch personnel and the contact center addressing concerns and questions that come in from members after purchasing a unit from a dealership. Attention to detail and the ability to decipher data and update/validate from uploaded documents. Manage incoming calls from several queues, work with members, branches, and dealers by providing superior service Time management and organizational skills are required to manage the loan packages that come in electronically from dealerships. This person provides excellent customer service and corresponds effectively and professionally with our dealers via web messages, email and phone. Must be proactive and willing to partner with dealership finance managers to get their loans funded. Perform other duties and related tasks as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties (50%): Data entry, validate data from applications from borrowers and dealer submissions against loan documents and update into the loan origination system. Confirm all loan stipulations have been met for funding including statements, payoff information, smog certificates or anything else needed to complete the funding for that loan Dealer loans must be updated in the system according to the contract information, all backend products must have corresponding certificates with proper VIN and dollar amount. Update new information into Keystone for existing members on all loans. Work with borrowers, branches and dealers by calling, emailing and using consumer loan origination system comments to advise of a fund delay status, and help to resolve when appropriate. Compliance (25%): Validate the loan amount, DTI, and LTV approved by the underwriter is correct and that all stipulations required have been met. Send for further review, if necessary for reapproval. Audit complete loan package for proper rate, LTV, signatures, and that documents are legible and compliant. Validate vesting for existing members in Keystone. Resolve any internal audit findings or exceptions and prevent repeated findings. Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including OFAC, MLA, Bank Secrecy Act, Truth-in-Lending Act and Fair Lending Act. Ensure proper use, handling and dissemination of information in compliance with CFCU information security policy, while actively monitoring adherence to data protection regulations and guidelines. Complete all company assigned training to ensure adherence to CU policy. Team Member & Member Service (25%): Work with branches, members and call center providing information related to loans in for funding or not yet received from the dealership. Work closely with the underwriting team for re-approvals and when stipulations are not met or when something is out of policy or guidelines. Communicate with underwriters when a dealer consistently misses items in a loan package so they may work with the dealer to prevent future fund delays. Communicate with underwriters when an FSR or branch consistently is missing items for funding. Attend regular departmental and companywide meetings.
Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Education:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to perform basic mathematic calculations. One to two years' customer service experience. Strong PC skills, including ability to work in Word, Excel and loan related programs. Ability to perform other duties and related tasks as assigned.
Beneficial Education and Experience:
Degree, advanced schooling, or specialized training desirable Knowledge of financial institutions a plus Bilingual (Spanish) helpful
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required. Corrected vision within the normal range. Hearing within normal range. Ability to lift 15 lbs. as may be required. Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc
Pay:
$22.94 - $27.77 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
