Loan Center Specialist

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Loan Center Specialist to join our financial services team. In this role, you will assist in all areas of loan support including customer service, document processing and retention, and other loan related tasks as assigned. The Loan Center Specialist is responsible for communicating with members and will serve as the first point of contact in identifying and resolving their questions and/or inquiries. You will facilitate smooth loan origination processes, review documentation, and provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout their lending journey. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where accuracy, compliance, and client communication are paramount. Responsibilities Respond to member inquiries within appropriate timeframes with an emphasis on accuracy and sense of urgency. Facilitate the resolution of loan service requests through all member touchpoints (phone, text, email, fax). Escalate where appropriate. Quality control of closing documents to ensure all relevant paperwork is complete and accounted for; support the Loan Department Team as required. Follow-up for incomplete or unsigned paperwork. Monitor and maintain the vehicle tracking report to ensure titles are received in a timely manner and liens/loss payee information is accurately recorded. Perform all necessary account-level maintenance within proper levels of permission. Perform special projects and assist with audits as assigned by the Lending Manager. Other duties as assigned. Skills Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain loan details clearly and professionally. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Effective internal communication skills for collaborating across teams and ensuring seamless workflow processes. Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of credit union loan products and services. Develop and maintain knowledge of all credit union systems (i.e. data, network, portal). Process transactions without errors in a timely manner. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Required:
A high school education or GED. 2+ years of financial industry/loan experience. 3-5 years: Customer Service Experience.
Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
